Key Projects & Developments
Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is emerging as India’s first smart industrial city, with mega investments in semiconductors, renewable energy, infrastructure, and housing. Located in Gujarat, it’s positioned to become a future-ready hub for industries and urban living.
Special Investment Region
Dholera
Be part of India’s most ambitious smart city project with world-class
infrastructure and business opportunities.
Key Projects
Semiconductor, Display & Chip Fabs
Tata Group is setting up a large semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, in collaboration with global technology partners. This project is expected to be one of the biggest milestones in India’s semiconductor mission, strengthening the country’s chip manufacturing ecosystem.
Vedanta / Foxconn have explored proposals for semiconductor and display manufacturing units in Dholera. If implemented, these fabs will add high-value supply chains and position Dholera as a technology hub.
Plug-and-Play Infrastructure
Pre-developed industrial land (ready for factories / units) with basic utilities.

Some parts completed; central & underground facilities are getting set up.
Shortens lead time for investment; attractive to industries wanting faster commissioning.
Ultra-Mega Solar Park
Tata Power Solar PV / Solar Projects :- Part of the solar park (e.g. 300 MW commissioned, single-axis trackers) under the larger 5,000 MW plan.
Phase-1: 300 MW commissioned
Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway
109 km eight-lane access-controlled highway being built at a cost of around ₹4,373 crore. The project, developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), will connect Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Ring Road to Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR). The expressway incorporates eco-friendly features like wildlife crossings, recycled material in embankments, and greenbelt development. Once operational, it will significantly enhance industrial, residential, and logistical connectivity in Gujarat’s Dholera region, making it one of the state’s most important infrastructure corridors.
Dholera Greenfield International Airport
Bhimnath–Dholera Freight Rail Line
The Bhimnath-Dholera line is a 23.33-kilometer new broad gauge freight railway link being built to connect Bhimnath station to the Logistics Hub in Dholera, with an estimated cost of about ₹ 466 crore.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been submitted to and given in-principle approval by the Railway Board, and land acquisition (around 117.81 hectares) is underway.
Once completed, this freight line will link Dholera more directly with the Indian Railways network (and the Dedicated Freight Corridor), reducing logistics time and cost for industries in the region.
Electronic Specialty Gas Hub (Inox AP)
A ₹500 crore hub for high-purity electronic gases, supporting semiconductor & electronics industries.
Construction has started.
